Busker Tour 2026 brings international performers to the streets of Polish cities.

Busker Tour is an international festival of performing and circus arts organised in various cities across Poland. In 2026, street artists will perform in Żary (18 August), Krotoszyn (22–23 August), Zielona Góra (25–26 August), and Zgorzelec (29–30 August).

The Busker Tour festival is distinguished by its original line-up. Every year, Małgorzata Węglarz, the artistic director, invites both buskers who regularly travel between continents, following the summer, and those who have so far performed only on their local pitches. For many of them, it is their Polish debut.

Who are buskers?

Buskers are mobile street artists who usually keep everything they need for their show in a single suitcase. Once they open it next to the Busker Tour festival sign, lay down a rope, or mark a water line, that designated part of the street becomes their stage, and the passers-by who stop become their audience. It’s showtime!

The invited artists mix artistic genres and test out ideas to entertain the audience of all ages. Technical skills, circus routines refined over years, original songs, body language that requires no foreign language skills, and humour – everyone has their own way to stop passers-by and keep their attention.

The street shows in the Busker Tour line-up are a blend of styles, cultures, and artistic disciplines. Acrobatics, juggling, illusion, music, and hula hoop are just some of them.

The Busker Tour line-up changes every year and includes interdisciplinary performing and circus arts. The selected street shows are a blend of styles, cultures, and artistic genres.

This year, the Busker Tour’s performers will test the limits of their own bodies, presenting contortions and acrobatic stunts. There will be plenty of circus shows with props such as hula hoops, diabolos, the Cyr wheel, and many more. The musical acts will also be diverse, with oriental instruments and live looping.

About Busker Tour 2026

Busker Tour is an international street festival organised in various cities across Poland by Małgorzata Węglarz (Busker.pl) in collaboration with local partners.

In Krotoszyn and Zielona Góra, it is held as a standalone festival. In Żary, street artists under the Busker Tour brand will perform during the 35th Międzynarodowe Plenerowe Spotkania ze Sztuką, and in Zgorzelec as part of the Jakuby, thanks to the organisers’ cooperation.

Busker Tour is a recognised brand in the international circus and street art community.

In the past, most applications came from South America, but in recent years, the festival has gained recognition among buskers from Asia. This year’s edition features artists from Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea. The line-up also includes performers from other countries, including Australia, the Netherlands, and Germany.

Admission

Admission to all events is free. However, in keeping with the tradition of street performances, if you enjoy the show, please contribute to the artists’ hats.
